Field Day & King of the Court Bring Fun to Wallingford Students

On May 16, students at the High Road School of Wallingford enjoyed a full day of energy and excitement with two special events: field day for primary and middle school students, and King of Court for high schoolers.
Primary and middle students on Step 2 and above participated in a variety of fun stations, including: Badminton, Corn Hole, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, soccer drills, chalk station, and a football toss.
Meanwhile, high school students had the opportunity to join King of the Court, a friendly competition that was part of their Fun Friday activity. Participation was based on student level, with higher-level students earning free entry and others using their C.A.S.E. cash to “buy in.” C.A.S.E. cash is part of a schoolwide Positive Behavior Support System used at the High Road School of Wallingford. Students earn points for demonstrating positive behaviors, which can then be converted into C.A.S.E. cash and redeemed for special experiences like this one.
Led by Mr. Grant and Mr. Martel, the game brought out competitive spirit and great sportsmanship. Trophies were awarded to the first and second place winners, capping off a fantastic day of school spirit and student achievement.
