In celebration of World Autism Month, students and staff at High Road School of Marion County embraced creativity and compassion through a vibrant door decorating contest and an art project.

Classroom doors were transformed with superhero themes and meaningful messages. One standout design honored students as part of the “Super Squad,” complete with puzzle piece symbols and capes that reflect strength and unity.

Another featured an acrostic of “AUTISM,” reminding the school community that differences are what make everyone unique, intelligent, and sometimes mysterious.

Students also designed individual puzzle pieces, each one colorful and expressive. The finished pieces became part of a display that surrounds a quote by researcher and writer Kathleen Seidel: “Autism is as much a part of humanity as is the capacity to dream.”
