At Sierra School of Gateway, our Work-Based Learning Program continues to thrive, providing students with meaningful opportunities to develop real-world job skills while building confidence, independence, and career readiness. Through hands-on experiences in the community, our students are actively engaged and genuinely enjoying their workplace experiences.

Building Strong Community Partnerships

We are proud of the strong partnerships we have built with local businesses and the University of Arizona. These partnerships have created valuable opportunities for our students to explore different career paths and learn in authentic work environments. These partnerships allow students to practice essential workplace skills, including communication, teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving, time management, and following workplace expectations.

Growing Skills and Confidence Each Week

Every week, our students continue to grow as they participate in job-related tasks, interact with employers and community members, and gain exposure to a variety of career fields. It has been incredible to watch them build confidence, increase their independence, and discover new strengths along the way.
