During her valedictory address, Lashay reflected on the obstacles she had overcome and expressed gratitude for the people who supported her. She gave special recognition to Ms. Ali, whose guidance played an important role in helping her reach this milestone.
“Lashay’s achievement is a source of pride for the entire Excel Middle Years Academy community,” said Sadiqa Lucas, director of EMYA. “Her perseverance and dedication have brought her to this moment, and we look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes next.”
Preparing for Her Next Chapter
Lashay plans to complete training to become a certified nursing assistant before attending Lincoln University in the spring. She has already been accepted to the university.
Graduating at the top of her class marks an important accomplishment for Lashay and reflects the hard work she has put into building a strong future.
