By focusing on key areas — academics, behavior modifications, support services, and transition / life planning services — we are able to meet the individual needs of all students through these varied approaches to instruction. Through collaboration with a student’s IEP team, we are able to choose the most appropriate learning model based on a given student’s present levels of performance, social capabilities, motor coordination, and ability to learn in a group setting.

Utilizing four specific instructional rotations, students are assessed academically, gain self-regulation skills, learn with district-aligned academic curriculums, and utilize integrated technology.

Sierra School of Livermore offers school-based counseling and support services that meets the social and emotional needs of our youth.

Our services include but are not limited to individual, group, and parent counseling. We also provide crisis support, classroom observations and social/emotional presentations in order to help our students maintain social and emotional needs.

With our counseling services, students are able to regulate their emotions through use of communication and coping strategies. They are able to build and maintain positive peer relationships. Once these basic needs are meet, we find our students thriving in accessing their academic needs. Installing confidence through trust and unconditional positive regards, we find our students are able to make great accomplishments.
