Several campuses from Excel and SAFE Academies of Chicago were recognized for their outstanding achievements during the 2024-2025 Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Options Awards Ceremony. The awards celebrate exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and a collaborative spirit demonstrated by staff throughout the academic year.

“We are proud to extend this recognition, as we honor and celebrate the accomplishments of our colleagues and their campuses,” said Dr. Anthony Haley Jr., Ed.D., regional director, Chicago.​ “Their contributions reflect the highest standards of excellence and commitment to student success.”

Campus awards included: Academic Excellence & Collaborative Leadership Awards, Transformational SEL Awards (Tier 1) ,Transformational SEL Awards (Tier 2), Postsecondary Success Award, Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP – a prestigious designation awarded by the American School Counselor Association, recognizing model school counseling programs), Compliance MVP Award, and the Branching Minds SEL Collaboration Award.

CPS Options schools are designed to provide a unique educational model tailored to students who may not thrive in traditional high school settings. These schools offer an alternative pathway to graduation while preparing students for success in both college and career. The Options Network includes 38 schools strategically located across Chicago to ensure equitable access for all learners.
