For students at Phoenix and Buehrle Academies, preparing for the future means exploring opportunities firsthand. Recently, they took an important step toward their post-secondary goals by attending the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC) Lancaster County College Fair at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
At the fair, they engaged with representatives from over 100 colleges and universities including community colleges, HBCUs, trade schools, and historically women’s colleges. This opportunity allowed them to ask questions, gain expert insights, and explore their post-secondary options.
In addition, through an ongoing partnership with High Associates, a property management company in Lancaster County, Phoenix Academy students gained firsthand insight into careers in property management and hospitality. During their visit to a rental property and hotel owned by the company, they toured the buildings and saw. They also met with High Associates representatives to network, discuss personal branding, and practice professional resume-building and interview skills.
