The Sierra School at Angleton, a specialized program designed to support students with unique learning and behavioral needs, is celebrating the successful transition of three students back to their home campuses. The school provides a highly structured and individualized environment, equipping students with the skills and strategies they need to succeed.

To ensure a smooth and supportive transition, school staff continue visiting the students, providing guidance and encouragement. We are thrilled to see them thriving in their new environment:

Conny faced challenges at her home campus, including elopement, disrespect toward staff, and lack of work completion. As a freshman, she had only earned one high school credit. While at Sierra School, Conny engaged with the CASE Behavior Model, which helped her develop critical skills, leading to the successful completion of three credits.

Caden struggled with anger management, elopement, and work completion at his former school. Through the CASE Behavior Model at Sierra School, Caden developed coping skills and improved his work completion. As a result, he earned enough credits to transition back to Angleton High School as a junior.

Elijah faced disruptive behavior and difficulty completing work at his home campus. At 16-years-old, he had only earned one high school credit. However, through his dedication and the support of Sierra School’s CASE Behavior Model, Elijah earned enough credits to be classified as a senior and is on track to graduate in May 2025.

“We are incredibly proud of their dedication and achievements!” said Robin Branch, LCSW, school social worker.

Sierra School at Angleton staff works in unison with district special education and general education teachers to ensure that students receive the maximum benefits from both district resources and the Sierra program.

Their success stories highlight the impact of structured support and personalized learning, reinforcing our commitment to helping students overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.

In collaboration with the Angleton Independent School District (ISD) and the Brazosport Independent School District, Sierra School at Angleton offers a specialized, non-traditional, therapeutic placement option for eligible students in grades 6-9.
