I hope this letter finds you well and safe during this difficult time.

The purpose of this letter is to help families/students understand the next steps with the 2020/2021 school year and to provide important details/resources to help our students.

If you are receiving this letter, it means that your student who attended High Road School of Philadelphia last school year, will be returning to High Road School of Philadelphia for the beginning of the 2020/2021 school year.

We will be starting the school year virtually on 9/2/2020.

All students will have virtual classes assigned to them on Google Classroom, and you will be receiving invites to those classrooms beginning the week of 8/24/20 and through the first day of school.

It is important that we maintain current phone numbers and emails for parents and students.

As staff members contact you before the start of the school year, they will be asking for current contact information and assessing any student needs.

If a student is a Mastery Charter School student, there are helpful links/resources listed on the main website: www.masterycharter.org

As an additional resource for our students and parents, please access the School District of Philadelphia website, which has set-up “ACCESS” centers throughout the City of Philadelphia for students who are unable to stay at home doing online learning. In addition, there are food distribution sites located throughout the city. Also, students/families who are unable to access the internet in the household can complete an application within the Philadelphia School District website to determine options available.

  • Parents MUST register through the SDP website at
  •  www.philasd.org
  • Each center will serve up to 22 students
  • Students will be supervised and receive meals and recreational activities

While we start virtually, it is important that our students participate with provided activities and/or lessons through Google Classroom, as we will be monitoring daily attendance and participation which will affect earned points and grades.

We will be monitoring State and local school guidance re-opening plans and will communicate.
