It is that time of the year for the science fair again! In Ms. Ashley’s classroom, the students watched videos of science fair projects and narrowed it down to their favorite, building cars. Students chose to work independently or with peers and chose the size of car they wanted to build.
The size of the car is the variable to see which size will go the farthest. Students worked together for 2 weeks building their car and are eager for race day! The cars are surprisingly made from water bottles! Therefore, the students had to collect the materials for about a week so we could have enough bottles for everyone!
Students made their hypothesis and majority think the largest car will go the farthest; guess we will have to wait and see! Race day is in one day and fingers crossed that it all works out! Students have used their strengths to help one another building the cars and have used rich vocabulary during communication.
