Our high school students have been hard at work this month! They have been learning about Civil Rights Leaders. Students were assigned one Civil Rights Leader. The students then began to conduct research on what the leader was known for, what impact did they have on others and pertinent information about their early life. Students also could add anything that stuck out to them or fun facts that they discovered in their research. Once students finished researching and organizing their thoughts, they developed an essay on the leader. When everything was finalized, they presented the papers to their class with a picture of their leader.

Ms. Rivera, the teacher assistant in the classroom explained, “All of our students were very interested in this project. Everyone proudly worked on the projects each chance they had. They worked in school and at home on them.” After students presented their projects, they put together a bulletin board to display their work for the whole school to see.

Great job students!!!
