Our 7th and 8th graders got the chance to become engineers. Lukas and Arianna are learning about Newton’s laws of physics, they built a model car to test out his theory. Austin had the task of building a tower with only index cards and a sheet of paper towel!!! Despite his many trials, he was able to be successful! February is Black History month so in Language Arts we had all three grades research the history of Frederick Douglass, who is a local historical figure here on the eastern shore. After their research, the students wrote an essay on why he was an important person in history. We were also invited to join in on a presentation of the life and achievements of Douglass were our students not only answered questions but were also able to share facts they had learned in the high road classroom!!!
