Bon Appetit! During our life skills elective, we have been cooking up a storm! Our students have been learning how to prepare a variety of foods from bread making to entrees. They have been learning how to follow recipes, create shopping lists, prepare meals all while learning healthy eating habits, taking direction, safety and responsibility. Students and staff work together to develop a menu, which has included items such as soup, baguettes (from scratch), baked ziti, chocolate cheesecake, apple crisp, and so much more. During the holidays, we made some scrumptious cookies. For Valentine’s Day we whipped up a strawberry- blueberry crisp, ice cream optional. YUM!!
