Mother Nature surprised us with a snowfall recently. Mrs. Vose-Watson was given a task to come up with a gym activity for a warm winter day, from that a snowball relay was invented. Operations Manager Ms. Russo has expressed concern that our students don’t get enough time outdoors on a regular basis. With that in mind, took advantage of a pleasant winter day by having our gym class outside. With the help of co-worker Mr. Ortiz, we bundled up and created a snowball activity. As always, we began with a walk/run around the perimeter of the school to warm up.
The object of the game was to put on a pair of gloves, make a snowball and run as fast as possible to deposit the snowball in a bucket, return to the starting point and pass on the gloves to the next runner. The kids were skeptical at first but had a wintery blast!
