The month of December was full of cheer and singing loud for all to hear! Students in the Hamden In-District classroom participated in activities and initiatives to promote kindness in the school as part of Dunbar Hill’s Kindness Campaign all month long. Mr. Lindsley, education director, served as a special guest reader and kicked off the month with a read aloud of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Students discussed the theme of the story, and even applied it to the larger kindness campaign. During their culinary elective, students loved making (and eating!) healthy holiday treats we called Grinch Kabobs. The month concluded with a holiday sing along and a kindness celebration! Students sang together and sent a representative up to share kind words about their teachers.
