Cooking Class and Classroom Creation

Students participated in a cooking class with Ms. Shannon to make holiday cookies and learn life skills for the kitchen in our Serv-Safe kitchen monitored by our transitions director Jaquan Perry. Students learned how to safely practice food preparation and to use the oven and other kitchen tools to make homemade cookies!
Students also helped school staff in preparing a new classroom! Students mopped, cleaned up the classroom, moved desks and other furniture between rooms and even placed tennis balls on the chair and desk feet to help alleviate sensory distraction from noise.
