There are so many reasons to be thankful and this season makes us think of them all! Even in these trying times our students and staff wanted to express some of the things we are all grateful for.

Our own Bryan and Mr. Ortiz created a bulletin board for our Grateful Pumpkin. To create the bulletin board they began by measuring the board space and calculating how big to draw the pumpkin. Our Occupational Therapist, Ms. Mele assisted our students in planning for what they wanted to express and then spatially planning where their ideas would go on the giant pumpkin. A few of our students needed help with their handwriting technique, as well.

With some help from Speech Therapist, Ms. Canty, our students greeted each student and staff one-by-one and explained to everyone what they needed to do for their part of the project. It was a wonderful cooperative experience that resulted in a beautiful bulletin board!
