Our students worked on some sweet treats to contribute to their own holiday feasts at home. Through this process, they not only got to enjoy some yummy goodies, they practiced fine motor skills and explored their five senses, a truly vital part to educating students on the autism spectrum. Our Occupational Therapists focused on fine motor skills as the students built their colorful turkey feathers by putting the fruit loops on the toothpicks.
They also had many opportunities to share things they are grateful for. They truly epitomize being able to enjoy the small joys in life. As the turkey on the door of our SLP, Paula Cristina Turdean, shows, highlights included snacks, swing and pokemon!
