Following our Thanksgiving Feast for staff, there was a Professional Development on “Caring for the Caregiver – Strategies for Managing Workplace Stress in a Caring Profession” facilitated by Alicia Berger Harriman from Stretch Pediatric Therapy and Creative Movement Studio. This highlighted recognizing small moments of joy, deep breathing and positive thoughts. One great suggesting was to practice deep breaths by “blowing out a candle” with a changing color LED tea light. After a full cleansing breath, the light would be a new hue.
