The 2019-2020 school year marks the third year for Mr. Chris in the role of transition coordinator for the Harford County Program. Along with transitions, Mr. Chris teaches life skills classes and heads up the Culinary Arts Program. Chris was nominated for October Staff off the month because of unprecedented dedication and passion that he brings to our program day in and day out.
Mr. Chris had a big month of providing opportunities for our high school students, on and off campus. Juniors and seniors were given a tour and information session at Harford Community College. They also attended a career fair at IronBirds stadium in Aberdeen. Mr. Chris dedicated some of his time this month to networking with local business in the community surrounding school in hopes to provide job and internship opportunities to our students. To top it all off, Mr. Chris began working closely with the Transition Coordinator for Harford County Public Schools, using her as a resource and invited her to attend the regional Transition Coordinators’ meeting at our school at the end of the month, providing a great resource to his fellow transition coordinators.
Throughout his career and especially this school year, Mr. Chris has demonstrated the company’s CORE 4 Values. By meeting with administration regularly and honestly sharing his wins and losses, with his colleagues, taking accountability for everything transitions related, Mr. Chris has shown us his humility, transparency, accountability and decisiveness. Congratulations Mr. Chris!
