As a reward for working so hard,Blue and Gold level students earned a field trip to Oma’s Pumpkin Patch.
Students of all ages learned what environment and ingredients are needed in
order to grow and sustain the life of a pumpkin. The students also learned about the importance
of different animals such as goats, pigs, and cows and how they are taken care of at Oma’s
dairy farm. Throughout the day, they were also able to participate in multiple activities. The students
mined for rocks and crystals, navigated through a corn maze, and fed various farm animals. We
ended the day with a hayride and each student picking out their own farm grown pumpkin.
