Our October student of the month is Autumn Starfury! Autumn is a 7th grade student in Mr. Henry’s class at the High Road Lower School. Autumn comes to school every day with a positive attitude and is ready to learn. Her smile radiates when she enters the building every morning. During the month of October, Autumn is a student who consistently sets a positive example for her classmates. She works hard not only on her own growth, but to help her peers make better choices when possible. In October Autumn maintained Blue level and exceeded staff expectations on a daily basis. She is consistently chosen as a student helper around the school and has shown herself to be responsible and hard working.

The High Road Staff really enjoys working with Autumn whenever they get a chance. Ms. Lauren, Autumn’s social worker came to the committee about how much Autumn has applied herself this month- “Autumn went above and beyond this month and made an anti-bullying comic that she later presented to her class.” October is bullying prevention month, so this personal project really stood out to staff! Her teachers were also quick to sound off on her academic skills and positive behavior in class.

During the month of October, Autumn says she is proud of how much progress she has made, and that she has almost 30 days on Blue! It’s easy to see why staff chose Autumn as October’s student of the month
