Animal group behavior has been all DES students have been talking about on Monday and Wednesday when science time rolls around. They learned that some animals work in groups to protect each other and hunt for food. For instance, students found out that meerkats work together to protect the babies in the group. Mrs. Jill put together two different ant farms for students in our room to check out. It’s been very interesting for us at DES to learn what teamwork means by watching the ants dig tunnels in the gel or sand in their containers.
