First Day of School!

Staff at High Road School of Wallingford High School were very excited to welcome students back for their first day of school on August 27th. Students were greeted by staff at arrival with high fives and warm welcomes. During the first day, teachers planned many fun activities that helped students learn the routines of their new classroom, encouraged students to get to know one another, and helped new students learn about all of the exciting opportunities High Road offers. One classroom played “two truths and a lie” to get to know each other, another used a game of Jeopardy to help students learn the new school rules, and a third classroom used the morning kick off activity to flip the classroom and had students brainstorm what they think their teacher should teach this year.
